Tuskegee University ranked as one of the Best in U.S. News & World Report

TUSKEGEE UNIVERSITY, AL - Tuskegee University has again ranked among America's "Best Colleges," according to U.S. News & World Report.

Tuskegee ranked 8th, up from 11th last year, among Southern schools on the regional list of "best universities" offering baccalaureate degrees.  Of the Alabama and Historically Black Colleges and Universities on the list, Tuskegee ranked the highest.

"Tuskegee continues to attract and graduate highly talented and gifted students from across the country, said Tuskegee University President, Dr. Benjamin F. Payton. This ranking underscores the University's 126-year commitment to educational excellence."

In addition to being recognized for excellent academic programs, the U.S. News and World Report ranking considers campus life and student affairs and student retention and graduation rates.

Accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to confer baccalaureate, master's and professional and Ph.D. degrees, Tuskegee University offers more than 50 areas of study and 11 graduate programs.
