pageo8		 The first Dance school on Canvey was run by Zoe Hammet(1930s)The school was held at Whittier Hall.Amoung her many pupils was Queeny Gray(Nee Harris) who went on to become the principle of the Georgettes Juveniles,Dance and stage school.Zoe Married a Rayleigh man and became Mrs Charles Harding.Unfortunatley their marriage was not as long as it might have been.Sadly Zoe died in 1941,at just 34 years of age
