THIS IS for those members who send out messages im selling everything weblo sucks well u go check out what they have for sale and its all shit properties havent been updated in a month very little content if any at all and they wonder why they make no cash here gee i wonder why??? people need to get a grip if they wanna earn anything here u must update and be active they seem to think they can just purchase assets and do nothing no promoting of them no content nothing just pay me some cash for doing nothing if only life worked that way. this is huge money maker but u must promote assets and u must get them pass go which is 10,000 hits then pay to be vip member if you dont do this yeah your right weblo sucks and u make shit.but once pass 10,000 hits u earn $10.00 for every 1,000 hits and trust me if u have 20 assets doing this now your gonna make some cash not untill so quit complaining unless your actually spending time trying to promote and bring traffic to your assets remember it dont just magically show up on its own wish it did best of luck to you all

Sunny-Days, that's a great point about the collectible value of assets. As an example I recently sold my Guns N' Roses celebrity asset for $40 to a member who is collecting rock bands.
There is also a "cool factor" to owning particular assets. Lol, how cool is it to own something like New York City or even just a favorite place? Bragging rights and novelty factor also play into asset value.

It's good to see members exchanging tips and tricks on getting more traffic to their assets. I agree with Weblo Investments that you have to be patient (I know it seems at times I'm not, it's frustration, there is a difference) and down the road, the time, money and energy you spend now will come to fruition. I've been developing several web business for over ten years and, while some have ended up dead in the water, others have taken off.
One thing I’d like to address that seems to have been forgotten is the collectible value of assets. When I first joined Weblo, I purchased cities, states and properties that I thought would have some personal or sentimental value to someone else; colleges, professional sports teams, state capitols and so on. There was all this hype about the Empire State Building being bought for one dollar, then flipped for $250.00. Likewise with Las Vegas, Seattle and several other properties. Soon, I started getting offers for several of my properties, but I’m not in Weblo to just flip properties and make a few bucks profit, not that it’s a bad thing, it’s just not for me, so I hung onto my properties thinking that as the buzz grows and Weblo truly becomes “Monopoly on Steroids”, people are going to be hanging in bars or at their place of work saying, “Hey, guess what? I bought Michigan State University!” and everyone knows they mean in Weblo.
There was a growing demand for unique properties, but it seems like ever since the release of the latest version, interest in being the “Mayor” of a city or owning a professional sports team has severely waned. It seems like most, if not all, of the emphasis is on digital asset value and Passing Go. I think those opportunities are great ones, but I’m hoping to get back to where good assets appreciate because of scarcity, not because they have 72,738 hits. I lived in San Luis Obispo, CA for several years, but when I went to register the city, it was already taken. I offered the owner far more than his paying price for it, but he declined. Now, I don’t care so much about being its mayor. If he wanted to trade city for city, I’d do that, but that’s about it.
I’d like for that facet, the pride of owning your local newspaper or what have you, to come back. I think that’s what will make Weblo fun for its members who aren’t making much money and will create an excitement like you’d see on the Stock Exchange floor. Wouldn’t it be great seeing property changing hands by the minute? I think so. As it is, the most recent offer I received was on November 28 for one of my cities, Mangalore, India. For ten cents.

IF YOU WANT TRAFFIC TO YOUR ASSETS YOU HAVE TO SPEND SOME MONEY ON ADVERTISING. THIS GETS U RANKED HIGHER ON THE SEARCH Engines any good webmaster that has a popular site spends thousands to get the traffic u cant just expect it to come u must advertise.Theres way to many sites out there. Websites spend thousands to get the amount of traffic they get no u dont have to do that but if nothing else follow mr.money and webloids lead ask them and they will tell you the ads they bought on weblo threw ad network brought them traffic and increased there rank on google images and that brings u huge traffic. When your on 1st page of google images traffic explodes. myself i get a small percentage of traffic from fellow weblo members most comes from outside and yes the landing page sucks they tried before didnt work so why they brought it back who knows they told me last time they think it helps get members i disagree if enough of us email them on this they will get rid of again best of luck to all and remember key to sucess is patiance no internet business gets huge over nite takes sevearl years usually
