In a shocking new report, sources claim Oprah Winfrey only has 3 years left to live if she doesn’t undergo surgery to remove her thyroid.

In October 2007, Winfrey, 55, revealed she was diagnosed with a thyroid disorder that caused her to gain 20 pounds. She discussed her weight on her show, ‘Oprah,’ and in her O magazine.

The national enquirer reports that medical experts have reviewed the media mogul’s medical history and determined she could die if her weight continues to spiral out of control. The experts warn Winfrey could suffer a heart attack or stroke if her thyroid is not removed.

“Oprah is in a really bad place right now, and we’re all very worried about her. She’s down on herself for all the weight she’s gained, and even though she prides herself on being open and honest with her viewers, she’s considered having thyroid surgery, but not telling anyone,” a family insider claims. “She’s not proud of being so secretive, but she can’t face another round of strict dieting and rigorous exercise, and she fears surgery is the only way out!”

Winfrey has not commented on the reports.
