Some really exciting events have been taking place at Falls Creek in the past few years. First there was the helicopter link between Falls Creek and Mt Hotham. Next saw the opening of Mt McKay with a snow cat providing access to the die hards. And now we have by far what is the best snow park in Australia to date; Situated on the Ruined Castle run…this is a real show of what Australian Ski Resorts should be focussing towards. With quite small runs in comparison to the rest of the world, one thing we can achieve is at least a really top quality Terrain Park (weather permitting). This provides a great training ground for skiers and boarders alike.
We can’t really hope to produce the next world champion downhill specialist; we have to export them over seas to live that dream. But with a little effort and mountain know how, a helping hand from the sky’s and the snow making facilities, we can hope and even expect to produce some future world champions of the Pipe and Park on both Ski and Snowboard…the sky is the limit
