2pac real father is named Billy Garland but he never really had any contact with him until the last years of his life. Many people say 2pac is the most influential rapper that ever lived. Many years after his tragic death in Las Vegas he still sells millions of album worldwide and many faithful fans. Alot of people related to Tupac songs and deep lyrics. This is probably why 2pac has such a large audience weither in the black or white community. He prooved to be far more thant just another gangster rapper with hits like dear mama, unconditional love, brenda's got a baby and many other song with a deep message.
2pac was a genius when it came to writing rap lyrics and could do it really fast. His last album before his assasination Makaveli the 7day theory was recorded in an amazing 7 days. 2pac unique style made him a legend in the rap game and many people consider him the best rapper that ever lived.

2pac was born in New York in 1971 under the name of Lesane Parish Crooks. His mother was Afeni Shakur and is step father was Mutulu Shakur both members of the black panthers. 2pac was early renamed Tupac Amaru Shakur which means the shining serpent thankful to God. 2pac became one of the best rapper if not the best that ever lived and also an icon with his one of a kind style. He also went hollywood which prooved his talent as an actor doing a few movies before his tragic death in 1996. He also founded a rap group called the outlawz immortalz. 2pac was often in the news espescially when he got involved in the hyper media covered eastcoast westcoast war with his former friend Notorious B.I.G. and few other rappers. Many remember him for throwing that famous Westside gang hand sign. 2pac was assasinated September 7th 1996 and then later died on the 13th. Some people believe in the theory that 2pac is still alive today and that he faked his death. The hiphop will probably never know again such an artist, combining skill of actor, activist, rapper, lyricist, poet and great philosopher. He died at an early age of 25 years old but still his influence in the music industry can be seen everywhere.

Tupac Amaru Shakur (June 16, 1971 – September 13, 1996), also known by his stage names 2Pac, Makaveli, or simply Pac, was an American rapper. In addition to his status as a top-selling recording artist, Shakur was a successful film actor and a prominent social activist. He is recognized in the Guinness Book of World Records as the highest-selling rap artist, with over 75,000,000 albums sold worldwide, including over 50,000,000 in the United States alone. Most of Shakur's songs are about growing up around violence and hardship in ghettos, racism, problems in society, and sometimes conflicts with other rappers. Shakur's work is known for advocating political, economic, social, and racial equality as well as his raw descriptions of violence, drug and alcohol abuse, and conflicts with the law. Many fans, critics, and industry insiders rank him as the greatest rapper ever.

Shakur was initially a roadie and backup dancer for the alternative hip hop group Digital Underground. Shakur's debut album, 2Pacalypse Now, gained critical recognition and backlash for its controversial lyrics. Shakur became the target of lawsuits and experienced other legal problems. Later, he was shot five times and robbed in a recording studio lobby in Manhattan, New York City, New York. Following the occurrence, Shakur grew suspicious that other figures in the rap industry had prior knowledge of the incident and did not warn him; the controversy helped spark the East Coast-West Coast hip hop rivalry. After serving eleven months of his sentence for sexual abuse, Shakur was released from prison on an appeal financed by Marion "Suge" Knight, the CEO of Death Row Records. In exchange for Knight's assistance, Shakur agreed to release three records under the Death Row label. Shakur's fifth record, the first double-disc release in hip hop history All Eyez on Me, counted as two albums.

On September 7, 1996, Shakur was shot four times in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada, and died six days later of respiratory failure and cardiac arrest at the University Medical Center.
