Yes, Hedley’s the band who showed up to the MMVAs with matching tattoos on their butts. They’re also the group with Jacob Hoggard, a Canadian Idol castoff, for a frontman – a frontman who wouldn’t think anything of giving Ben Mulroney a wet willie instead of a handshake.

Hedley has racked up some serious career stats. The Vancouver act’s 2005 self-titled debut went double platinum in Canada. Their latest album, Famous Last Words, has already gone platinum.
Hedley are also Juno nominees and the band’s in Calgary to play their single “For the Nights I Can’t Remember” during the ceremony and to see if their name is called as Best Group of the Year.
One more little known fact: the band could pass for amateur psychics. Last year at the Junos, they told Dose.ca they would lose in both their categories and they were right. We caught up with them this year to get some new predictions and to find out what bad habits they’ve passed on to other Juno nominees – former tourmates and International Album of the Year nominees, Bon Jovi.

���Jacob's voice sets him apart, a nasally, earnest, melodic rock style that can be heard on the fervent first smash single "On My Own" and the pumping "Villain". �On "Street Fight," his 15-minutes of fame denouncement, Jacob comes out swinging with a kind of punk passion, while in the full-out-throttle of the ball-and-chain meltdown "321," he tells the girl how it is with both anger and regret. On the gun-toting tale "Johnny Falls," he lowers his voice to an almost maniacal level, while on the soaring spiritual ballad, "Trip," he displays an uncharacteristic sensitivity and beauty. "Trip" is currently inside the Top 20 at radio and is Top 5 on MuchMusic's Top 30 Chart.
