Mount Everest
The top of the world, the highest point man can achieve without machine lies in Nepal/Tibet. At 29,035?feet (8550 m) Everest was first concured by Sir Edmund Hillary of New Zealand and Tenzing Norgay of Nepal on May 29th 1953 nearly 60 million years after it's formation. In the years following many have followed in there foot steps including the first women Junko Tabei, the first without out oxygen Rheinhold Messner and a amazing 11 trips to the summit by Appa Sherpa.

Mount McKinley
The highest Mointain in the United States is Mount McKinley in the Alaska Range, which stands at 20,320 feet. Allthough Mnt. McKinleys summitstands some 9,000 feet below Everest, it Vertical rise is actually 6000 feet higher due to it's base being at roughly 2000 feet compared to Everests 17,000. McKinley was summited by Dr Frederick Cook in 1906 but his claim was latter proved false and the Summit remained out of reach until June 7th 1913 when Walter Harper reached the top of the peak. Also comonly refered to as Denali, McKinley is the top of the United States.

Mount Whitney
The highest point in the State of California?and the Lower 48, Mount Whitney stands at 14,505 feet. Located in the Sierra Nevada Range Mt Whitney lies a mere 76 miles from the lowest point in the US located in Death Valley (282 feet below sea level). First climbed in 1873 by local fisherman, mountain Whitney has become a favorite climb for hickers and skiers alike.
Pikes Peak
At 14.110 feet Pikes Peak is only the 31st highest peak in Colorado (Mt Elbert at 14,433 is the highest) it is the most visted Mountain in the United States and 2nd to only Mount Fuji in Japan in terms of vistors each year with over 500,000 people reacjing the top of Pikes Peak every year. Long known for Rally racing and the annual Pikes Peak Marathon.

Mount Saint Helens
Standing at 9,677 feet Mnt. St. Helens, was once just another beautiful peak strung in the pearl necklace of the Pacific Northwest's Casacade Mountains. All of that changed on May 18th 1980 when the the stratovolcano blew off it's top and covered most of Seattle and Portland with Volcanic ash. When the dust settle the mountains summit had been reduced 1300 feet to a current elevation of 8,365 and the world was once again shown the power of nature.
