Auction finish times

By:  anarchyintheuk -- Jul 13, 2007 04:07:29  Category: Art and Photography
Grrrr. Again I have been outbid on an auction as I am in the UK and asleep when the auctions close. Why do auction have to finish midnight Canada time? Far better to run auctions or a precise number of hours, everyone can then send their item to auction at a time that suits them. The fixed finish time, doesn't help the seller, as people are asleep and not responding to bids, and doesn't help anyone other than the US/Canadian timezone buyer who want to snaffle a bargain and even for them I would suggest midnight is hardly convenient.
