Newcomers often think that the Magic Kingdom is Walt Disney World. But in reality, it is just one small piece of a huge resort. Its landscape is filled with the some of the world's most recognizable, often photographed sites that draw millions of families to the park every year. The most notable-and one of the most famous icons anywhere-is Cinderella's Castle, the mere sight of which spells "happily ever after" to kids and kids at heart.

Built in 1971, the Magic Kingdom has changed very little over the years, retaining an ageless aura of nostalgia. It's as though the Disney Imagineers achieved perfection on the first try.

Main Street, U.S.A., the first of seven "lands" that make up the Magic Kingdom, is the entrance to the six lands that radiate from its center, like spokes on a wheel. A sensible first stop is City Hall. GREAT DISNEY BLOG AND INFO BELOW!
