Description Add  Expand/Collapse
The world\'s first atomic bomb was dropped over Hiroshima on 6th August 1945. This building was one of the few buildings at the epicentre of the blast to survive partially intact, amongst a sea of carnage.

The Peace Dome is now the only remaining bomb damaged building in the City of Hiroshima, and is located within the Peace Memorial Park.

The municipality of Hiroshima built a museum of memories in the park, and invited survivors to contribute their stories, and painted memories. These feature amongst the archive video clips, of this five-part documentary.

Let us all learn from the past, lest history repeat itself.

This video comes in 5 parts. The videos are in correct order, left to right. The story is part documentary, and part stories by survivors, with their paintings. All worth watching - total video time is 50 minutes.

A very powerful documentary. Thank you for including this. Makes my problems seem trivial.

Rather uncanny that just one building survived
