National Public Radio (NPR)
National Public Radio (NPR) is an independent, private, not-for-profit organization, NPR provides news, music, and cultural radio programs to more than 800 independently operated noncommercial member stations. Flagship shows include news programs \“Morning Edition\” and \“All Things Considered\”. Founded in 1970, NPR operates on member station dues and fees, private support, and government funding. In 2001 NPR announced a landmark agreement with Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) to cross promote and produce programs.
