AirTran Airways operates scheduled airline service primarily in short-haul markets principally in the eastern United States, with a majority of its flights originating and terminating at its hub in Atlanta, Georgia. The Company serves both the leisure and business traveler.

AirTran Airways’ entire fleet comprises B717 and B737 aircraft. At February 1, 2007, it had a combined total of 128 aircraft. AirTran operates 22 gates from a single concourse under long-term leases at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, and has use agreements for additional gates on an adjacent concourse and potential for expansion.

The Company has established interline ticketing and baggage agreements with United Airlines, US Airways, Frontier Airlines, Midwest Airlines, Icelandair, Aer Lingus and British Airways.
