Dave & Buster's (NYSE: DAB) is an American restaurant chain which mixes dining with arcade-style gaming. The company was founded by David O. Corriveau and James W. "Buster" Corley in 1982, and is headquartered in Dallas, Texas. There are currently 50 locations worldwide. Dave & Buster's celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2007.

History

The first Dave & Buster's opened in Dallas, Texas in December of 1982.

On November 1, 2004, Dave & Buster's completed the acquisition of nine locations, formerly operated by Jillian's Entertainment, Inc. – Until August of 2005, these complexes were operated under the Jillian's brand. They are in the process of being converted to the Dave & Buster's name.

The company announced on December 8, 2005 that it would be acquired by private equity firm Wellspring Capital Management LLC.
