Frost Bank Tower in downtown Austin, Texas.
The construction was completed on the tower in 2004 and changed the skyline of Austin dramatically. It is now the tallest structure in Austin, at 157 meters (515 feet).
Currently:
The tower is currently owned by Equity Office Properties Trust and contains 33 floors. It borders Congress, East Fourth Street, and Brazos.
History:
Groundbreaking began on November 27, 2001 and during construction, the building was regarded by some locals as garish and obtrusive on the Austin skyline. By the time of its completion, however, opinions seemed to have changed; in 2004 it was voted the \\\'Best New Building\\\' by Austin Chronicle readers. The architects involved with designing the building included Duda/Paine Architects, LLP and HKS, Inc.
