"It was just down the road, but I didn't know about it," she said. "I wasn't sure what would be there." "I've been to the Animal Kingdom at Disney World and the Memphis Zoo. I saw more exotic animals at the Tennessee Safari Park. And I enjoyed it more." This park has been his dream for more than a decade and took four years to complete. The park officially opened to the public Memorial Day weekend. Prior to that, the park was only open for school field trips.
