My Nanu used to practically live there. He'd hang out and cook down there just for fun! Everyone new him. His picture is all over the walls down there, as well as many other tuna boat fishermen, It's worth it just to go there and look around the pictures tell a great story
The Waterfront is one of those vibrant local bars, found in every city, that so perfectly reflect the character and history of its neighborhood that it stands as a worthy symbol of the city itself. In the early '30s, when Little Italy was a thriving Italian-American fishing community, the Waterfront sent fishermen on their way with a hot breakfast -- and then welcomed them back with sustenance of a different order.
