STORES HAVE IMPACT: A recent survey by the Chico (Calif.) EconomicPlanning Corp. (CEPCO) shows that business leaders believe Wal-Mart Supercenters have had a positive IMPACT on their communities. The survey found that 95% of those polled say a Supercenter has boosted the local economy and increased sales tax revenues. In addition, economicdevelopment leaders surveyed said they would recommend Supercenters to other communities as a way to bolster their economies.
