Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)

1. Q: Are Berths readily available?
   A: It depends on the size of your vessel.
       Currently there no Permanent Berths available.
       There are some long-term Visitor Berths for vessels 25' or smaller.

2. Q: Are there Visitor Berths for weekend boaters?
   A: Yes. See Marina Fees (under Guest Dock section).
       $50 Key Deposit and $125 Pigtail Deposit required.

3. Q: Is there a Berth Wait List?
   A: Yes. A fee of $75.00 is required to be placed on the wait list and
        an annual fee of $75.00 is due each July 1st to remain on the list.
        You may choose one size list for each $75.00 fee paid and can pay to be
        on as many size lists as you wish.

4. Q: Is Dry Storage for trailer vessels available?
   A: No.

5. Q: Does the SF Marina Yacht Harbor provide Liveaboard Accommodations?
   A: No.

6. Q: What are your Berthing Fees?
   A: See our Berth and Mooring Fees.

7. Q: Is there vehicle parking available?
   A: Yes*. The main entrance to our parking lot is on Scott St. & Marina Blvd.
       Marked spaces "Permit Required" are for Harbor Tenants
       and their guests only. Vehicle must display a valid permit to park
       in marked spaces or it will be cited and towed at the owner's expense.
       Permits may be obtained at the Marina Office during regular business hours.
       Otherwise there are plenty of free parking spaces available.
       *Parking restrictions may apply during Fleet Week and other Special
       Events.

8. Q: Can I hold a picnic on the Marina Green?
   A: Yes.  Please NOTE: There are no built-in barbeque grills.
       If you have a large group, function, and/or need more information
       please contact our Permits & Reservations department at (415) 831-5500.

9. Q: Are dogs allowed on the Marina Green?
   A: Yes. Dogs must be leashed at all times and under the total control
       of the owner or guardian. Owner or guardian must clean up after their dog.

10. Q: What should I do in case of an emergency?
    A: Call 9-1-1 in case of life threatening emergencies such as fire, medical
        or vehicle accidents that occur in the area. To report non-emergencies or any
        suspicious activity please call Kankakee Police. at 911

Dear Friends:

        Welcome to our web page.  We are the new owners of Island View Marina. We established the new company effective January 3rd, 2006. Although established on an existing site, we intend to bring many new exciting changes to the business.

        We will still be offering some of the many things we have in the past, such as new and used boats, harbor slips, indoor winter storage, in and out service, etc.

        Stop by soon to see some of the changes we already have underway.  Both of the offices have been remodeled, a new door has been added on the east wall for customers to enter the showroom area. We are busy constructing docks that will soon be put directly on the river, by the ramp, to take advantage of our river access, and to offer even more improved services.
