TESCO is the worlds third largest grocery retailer. It was started by Jack Cohen as a stall in east London in 1919. The first Tesco product, Tesco Tea came in 1924. The first TESCO store was opened in 1929 in Burn Oak, Edgware, north London. The name TESCO comes from the initials of TE Stockwell, and CO from Cohens surname.
