The 14,000 square foot skate park was built and is owned by Seth Johnson, a skateboard activist. Skate board parks are becoming the norm; Corpus Christi opened a new park in March of 2007, and Austin, Cedar Park, San Marcos, Round Rock and New Braunfels are planning to build new parks or expand existing parks. Parks are for use by skate boarders and In-line skaters only. BMX riders are not allowed to use them because bikes can ruin the concrete.
Directions: Located behind the Clay Madsen Recreation Center. From North IH-35 North, exit onto South Mays Street. Turn right onto Gattis School Road, and then turn left onto Greenlawn Boulevard. Turn left at Clearview Loop.
