St Hubert Description
Saint-Hubert, city in southern Québec, Canada, on the St. Lawrence River. It is a residential suburb of Montréal and has factories producing aerospace equipment, chemicals, printed materials, plastic goods, and furniture. Saint-Hubert is the location of the headquarters for the Canadian Space Agency and Pratt and Whitney Canada, producers of jet engines. It is also home to the École nationale d'aérotechnique du Collège Édouard-Montpetit, a school specializing in aeronautics. The city is served by Saint-Hubert Airport. Saint-Hubert, established as a parish in 1860, is the site of Canada's first airport offering transatlantic flights. Saint-Hubert incorporated in 1958 and reincorporated in 1971 when it merged with the city of Laflèche.
