Who wouldn't want to spend some time in Bimini???  It is so beautiful and peaceful.  Here's some more info:  Bimini is a popular tourist destination for Americans only 50 miles from Miami.  But more than the location FISHING gives Bimini its appeal!  Fishermen and women travel to Bimini from all over the world for its first rate big game fishing.
The word "Bimini" is the only remaining legacy of the Lucayan Indians who are believed to have settled here in about 1000 AD. The Indians left the South American mainland around 700 AD and "island hopped",  reaching The Biminis 300 years later.
In 1513 the Spanish sea captain Juan Ponce De Leon landed here in search of The Fountain of Youth. That island legend has added to the Bimini intrigue and The Fountain of Youth is believed by many to exist in the flats and pools of South Bimini. Some natives claim to be able to take you to the spot or to the "Healing Hole", the waters of which are supposed to have great healing qualities.  COME AND JOIN ME IN BIMINI!!!

Alice Town is the commercial center of North Bimini. It is dominated by a main road called the King's Highway, lined with hotels, several marinas, shops, local restaurants and a number of down-home bars. Government offices are located here, in addition to the local Tourist Office, the Hemingway House/The Compleat Angler, Bimini Museum, Straw Market and the ramp where Chalk's Ocean Seaplane lands. Resorts include Bimini Bay Resort, Bimini big Game Fishing Club & Marina, Bimini Blue Water Resort & Marina, Seacrest Hotel & Marina, and there are several small hotels and inns.
