Art enthusiasts can choose from museums such as Sheldon Swope Art Museum, or the Seamon Salon at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.

The arts come alive during the annual Crossroads ArtsFest, coordinated by Arts Illiana. The downtown area, known as the Crossroads of America, is closed off from traffic so local artisans can set up booths to display their works, accompanied by live musical performances and food served up by local restaurants.

If nature is more your bag, take part in one of the walks in the park, hosted by local hospitals and other Wabash Valley groups. Golfers can find plenty of greens in the area, and know they are getting quality putting. Golf Digest placed Terre Haute fifth in their 1998 ranking of cities with good, affordable public and municipal Golf.

Interested in checking out the local racing scene? Look no further than the Terre Haute Action Track, featuring sprint car, World of Outlaws, Silver Crown and midget car racing on its ½ mile track. Terre Haute is one of the five oldest and most traditional racetracks in America, and the small size of the track creates a more personable race experience.
