Strategically Situated
Haarlemmermeer is strategically situated in the commercial heartland of the Randstad conurbation. The municipality is home to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and rubs shoulders with key economic centres, such as Haarlem and Amsterdam. Owing to the Haarlemmermeer’s strategic position, many leading international corporations have established their (European) headquarters, marketing and sales divisions, and distribution centres here. The Municipality of Haarlemmermeer is one of ten partners in the Amsterdam Airport Area organisation, a public-private organisation that provides a one-stop shop for relocating businesses to the Schiphol Area. The Company Contact Point (bedrijvencontact@haarlemmermeer.nl) is a division of Haarlemmermeer’s Economic Affairs department. It serves as an initial contact point for companies and starters to deliver a combination of relocation and start-up services and support.
