Lapua is a modern entrepreneurial city with many services and a high quality environment. Invaluable history and modern international entrepreneurship meet here. Lapua is a rich, environmentally beautiful city located at the point where the rivers Lapuanjoki and Nurmonjoki join together. Lapua had become independent as early as in 1581. The history of the city can be seen in the buildings, like the bell tower from the end of the 1700s and the Cathedral from the beginning of the 1800s. Along the river there are also farmhouses that are dating back to the same period.
