Stone Mountain
 In Lawrenceville you will find the Gwinnett Historic Courthouse, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Located On the Square in downtown historic Lawrenceville and nestled among quaint shops and wonderful restaurants, the Historic Courthouse is a unique setting for weddings, receptions, business meetings, workshops and conferences.
Numerous events are hosted throughout the year in, including the annual Lighting of the Tree on Thanksgiving Day, an event that draws between 6,000 and 8,000 people to the county's historic courthouse.
Lawrenceville has a number of events on the Historic Courthouse Square, including Lawrenceville Rings New Years Eve Celebration, Star Spangled Fourth of July, and the Moonlight and Music Series.
Stone Mountain Park and Lake Lanier Island Resort are just a short distance away.

It is the county seat.
The community was named after James Lawrence, naval officer who became famous for his dying words, "Don't give up the ship!"
The latitude of Lawrenceville is 33.956N. The longitude is -83.988W.
It is in the Eastern Standard time zone. Elevation is 1,066 feet.
The estimated population, in 2003, was 26,698.
