Loon Lake

Loon Lake is a resort and fishing lake located north of Cache Creek in BC. It has some of the best rainbow trout fishing in the province and has people come from all over North America to enjoy fishing.
It is located approximately 50km north of Cache Creek or about 400km northeast of Vancouver. The lake is home to a number of vacation resorts including a couple that run year-round for summer and winter fun.
The lake itself is 9 miles long and about 1/2 mile wide, up to 300 ft deep in the middle. It is a glacier-fed Lake which means very deep, cool water all year round; and in the winter, the lake freezes solid, and there is a winter carnival held on the surface.
