|
Mont Tremblant Resort is a large year round resort about one and a half hour north of Montreal. It is best known as a ski destination, but also features a lake suitable for swimming, and a golf course in the summer months. The name of the mountain, Mont Tremblant, means "trembling mountain" in French. The summit is at an elevation of 875 m (2871 feet), which makes it higher than all the surrounding hills, except for its neighbor Johannsen's Peak.Mont-Tremblant est une ville du Québec située dans la municipalité régionale de comté (MRC) des Laurentides et la région administrative des Laurentides. Elle compte près de 9000 habitants pour une superficie de 256 km?. La ville fut constituée en 2000 au terme d'un contesté projet de fusion entre les municipalités de Saint-Jovite, Saint-Jovite-Paroisse, Lac-Tremblant-Nord et Mont-Tremblant-Aillage._
