|
Located only 20 kilometers from Guaymas, main port of the state of Sonora, San Carlos is a beautiful bay,
exclusively devised to become one of the main tourist destinations of the zone.
It has big, modern hotels, inviting you to rest on the white and fine sand of the beach.
Due to its proximity to the frontier with the U.S.A., the visitors who come to San Carlos, are mostly North American, who find this place nice and beautiful to rest, where the desert meets the sea.
This small bay has three marinas, and it has been conditioned to practice different activities, such as fishing, boat trips, diving and kayak; besides, in San Carlos it is possible to practice cycling, mountaineering, ecological tourism and cave exploration.
The Island of San Pedro Nolasco, located in front of the bay, is rich in wildlife.In it you can watch sea wolves, hawks and sea birds. Besides, in spring, the waters of San Carlos are visited by the gray whale, which gets very close to the beach, offering a spectacle of unparalleled beauty.
