Since ancient times, Shinagawa City has prospered as an important hub of transportation, both by land and by sea. Aiming to be “A Comfortable Town of Peace and Vitality and Rich Natural Greenery,” our city is working on comprehensive measures while spreading the local history and traditions of which we can be proud.
Shinagawaku Tokyo Japan - Shinagawaku Hotels, Shinagawaku sight seeing, Sengakuji temple and Shinagawa Aquarium.Shinagawaku (品川) is one of the 23 wards of central Tokyo. It includes the famous Sengakuji temple and Shinagawa Aquarium. Historically, parts of this ward were known as Shimazuyama. Many feudal lords (daimyo) maintained estates in this area during the Tokugawa Shogunate. More recently, this area is the birthplace and home of Sony.
