Harper's BAZAAR Purchases Princess Diana Gown at Christie's Auction

NEW YORK, June 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Harper's BAZAAR purchased a silk chiffon gown of Princess Diana's in a charity auction held last evening at Christie's in Manhattan. The magazine's winning bid was $25,300, said Liz Tilberis, Harper's BAZAAR's editor-in-chief.
The gown, a white silk chiffon dress printed with deep purple tulips and green leaves, was designed by Catherine Walker. The bodice of the dress is folded in a pleatlike design to the hip and crossed over at the neck with a long streamer down the back.
