Monday, May 13, 2002 -- The condemnation of terrorist attacks by the leaders of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Syria at a summit in Sharm e- Sheikh on Saturday evening was coordinated with the US administration, a senior Palestinian source said.

This is important, the source said, because it backed up Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat's statement on Palestinian TV last week, in which he said he had ordered his security services to prevent terrorist attacks on Israeli civilians.
