Obituary: Afton June Elkins McCormick

1917 ~ 2004
KAYSVILLE On Saturday, August 28, 2004, at the age of 87, Afton
June Elkins McCormick completed her life's adventure surrounded by
her family at home.
Afton was born June 1, 1917 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Alma and
Laura May Widdison Elkins. She graduated from the University of Utah
with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and taught in the
Salt Lake School District. She married Ronald A. F. McCormick June
10, 1942 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, and they soon moved to
Kaysville to raise their family.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints where she served in many teaching and leadership positions.
