How physical was Thursday's Class 3A semifinal tussle between Benilde-St. Margaret's and DeLaSalle? "Very physical," Benilde-St. Margaret's forward Kachine Alexander said. "We knew from the beginning it would be physical. The refs weren't really calling a lot of stuff. We just had to go with it."
Alexander, the Red Knights' leading scorer, was all too aware of the game's physical nature. With 5:21 remaining in the first half, she slammed her head hard on the floor while guarding DeLaSalle's Aaryn Booker and immediately went out of the game 1/3 We were concerned," Benilde-St. Margaret's coach Bob Lyons said.
