Bleacher regulars fear standing room lonely

The bleachers will never be the same. Cubs fans won't meet
and fall in love. The regular fans in right won't wander over
and hang out for an inning or two with the regulars in left.
Somebody might even dare to sit in the Death Seat when the
bleachers are especially packed, knowing perfectly well this means
doom because it's the only seat left. They'd stand if they could --
up against the back fence, like fans have done for generations -- but
that's exactly the problem: There won't be any place to stand.
Over the winter, the Cubs plan to expand the bleachers in Wrigley
Field by almost 1,800 seats, in the process wiping out every last
square foot of standing room.
