School attack rumors untrue

Central High School Principal Dr. Bart Albright said Friday that
rumors of an attack on Central and its students are simply that -
rumors.
"We've had a rumor that has been floating periodically since the
school year began," Dr. Albright said.
The first rumor claimed a group of kids planned to storm Central
and start shooting. Another rumor claimed men with camouflage and
guns would situate themselves throughout the school. A third rumor
mentioned a hit list.
Each time a rumor surfaced, Dr. Albright followed St. Joseph
School District procedure, contacting the St. Joseph Police
Department to investigate.
Nothing was ever found to substantiate the stories.
