THUMBS UP FOR HIGH STREET REVAMP.

A [pounds sterling]55,000 revamp of Melton's High Street has got the thumbs up from traders and the public.
The road has been redesigned and trees, planters and benches have been installed to improve the area's appearance and deter motorists parking along the street and creating a hazard.
Councillor Peter Roffey, chairman of Melton Highways Forum, officially opened the scheme on Thursday.
He said: "This is an excellent scheme which has significantly improved the street scene.
"It was borne out of frustration many of us felt over the years about illegal parking.
