Avesta Sheffield 248 SV is a weldable, high-strength, martensitic stainless steel that is made up of carbon, chromium, nickel, molybdenum and iron. The stainless steel supports hardening temperatures between 850 degrees C to 1050 degrees C. Its stress relief treatment is pegged between 550 degrees C to 580 degrees C. The low-carbon martensitic stainless steel, which has good corrosion resistance, is available in hot rolled plates supporting different thicknesses and widths.
