CHERRY HILLS -- The Cherry Creek schools board Monday rejected a proposal by Cherry Creek Academy to use district land to build a permanent building.
The charter school's lease at the Denver Tech Center runs out next year, and the school hopes to add an eighth grade and 300 students during the next two years.
Charter school officials had hoped to be granted part of 25 acres the district owns along Jordan Road near Arapahoe Road. But the school board Monday approved development plans that don't include the charter school.
