Nick Lotfey and other members of the University of Maine golf club team hope to strengthen the sport at the club level and eventually have it return as an intercollegiate sport.

At the moment, they're trying to improve upon what they have. Seventeen golfers, 16 males and one female, are members of a club team that will play in six tournaments this fall in the New England Collegiate Club Golf Association.
