Hello fellow Albertans and those from beyond our borders,
Here are a few things happening in Alberta...
Description
Alberta in All it's Glory...
On September 1, 1905, Alberta officially became a province of Canada. As the second most westernly province, Alberta is bordered by British Colombia on the west, Saskatchewan on the east, the Northwest Territories on the north and by the U.S. State of Montana at the south.
The capital city of Albera is Edmonton, located just south of the center of the province but Calgary is arguably one of the largest major commerce centers of Canada.
Alberta is named after Princess Louise Caroline Alberta who lived between 1848 and 1939. The fourth daughter of Queen VIctoria, Princess Luise was the wife of the Marquess of Lorne, the honorable Governor General of Canada from 1878 to 1883. Lake Louise, the village of Caroline and Mount Alberta were all also named in hour of the princess.
So, enjoy Alberta. Who wouldn\'t love the majesty???
