St. Paul's Cathedral in Mdina
Mdina’s narrow streets lead toward St. Paul’s Cathedral, which was rebuilt in 1693 after an earthquake destroyed it. This church has 2 clocks. One shows the correct time and the other does not. It is thought this was done to confuse the devil.
Mdina is One of Europe's finest examples of an ancient walled city and commanding a magnificent view of the Island is as old as the history of Malta itself.
Also known as "The Silent City" automobiles are generally off-limits within the city walls. This could be out of respect for the ghosts of the city or simply the narrow streets. At night a visitor to Mdina may feel transported in time as hundreds of twinkling lamps and lanterns transform the narrow, curved streets into a beautiful wonderland.
You may feel like a knight or damsel, as you are wisked about this ancient city by Korazzin, a horse drawn carriage.
