Carly is an American television series
ICarly is aimed at young teens and preteens, which premiered on September 8, 2007 and is currently aired on Nickelodeon. It first arrived on YTV a month later on October 8, 2007, and now concurrently airs on The N. The show first aired on Nickelodeon UK during Easter 2008 and Nickelodeon Australia in May 2008.
The series stars Miranda Cosgrove as title character Carly Shay.
iCarly is an Emmy Award-nominated television series, which premiered on September 8, 2007 on Nickelodeon. It first arrived on YTV a month later on October 8, 2007. The series is created and executive produced by Dan Schneider. It focuses on a girl named Carly (Cosgrove) who creates her own web show called iCarly with her best friends Sam (McCurdy) and Freddie (Kress).
ICarly Main Characters
Carly Shay (Miranda Cosgrove) is the teen star of her own popular web show, iCarly, which she produces with her two best friends, Sam and Freddie.
Samantha “Sam” Puckett (Jennette McCurdy) is one of Carly’s best friends and co-host of iCarly.
Fredward “Freddie” Benson (Nathan Kress) is Carly’s other best friend, and he is the technical producer of iCarly and Carly’s neighbor.
Spencer Shay (Jerry Trainor) is Carly’s 26-year-old brother and legal guardian.
ICarly Recurring Characters
Marissa Benson (Mary Scheer) is Freddie’s neurotic mother who annoys many of the other characters to a great extent. She shows extreme neurosis about Freddie and her husband appears to have left her. It is revealed she is so overprotective of Freddie because her father was a fencer and forced her to fence, so she never wanted Freddie to get involved in it. Even though she annoys Freddie, Freddie loves her, rushing to see her when he thinks she has driven her car into a swimming pool due to a prank call from Sam.
Nevel Papperman (Reed Alexander) is an 11-year-old critic who runs the nevelocity.com website, a site that reviews other websites. He is Carly’s nemesis, and has repeatedly tried to ruin iCarly.
Gibby Gibson (Noah Munck) is a classmate of Carly, Sam, and Freddie.
Jeremy (Nathan Pearson) (nicknamed “Germy” by Freddie) is another classmate of Carly, Sam, and Freddie.
Ted Franklin (Tim Russ) is the principal at Ridgeway.
Francine Briggs (Mindy Sterling) is an English teacher at the junior high school attended by Carly, Sam, and Freddie.
Lewbert (Jeremy Rowley) is the doorman for the building in which Carly, Spencer, and Freddie live.
Amanda “Mandy” Valdez (Aria Wallace) is iCarly’s self-proclaimed “#1 Fan.” The members of iCarly simply believe she is a psychopath.
Chuck Chambers (Ryan Ochoa) is a child who is a tenant in the Shays’ apartment building who torments Spencer frequently.
Mr. Howard (David St. James) is a strict and unenthusiastic teacher who is quick to punish.
Socko is a friend of Spencer. He has not been seen to date.

Columbia Records and Nickelodeon Records has released a soundtrack for the show entitled iCarly. It includes the theme song and four original songs by Miranda Cosgrove. Several tracks by guest artists and cast dialogue are also included.

ICarly Video Games
An animated PC hidden object game, iCarly: iDream in Toons, was released by Nickelodeon on their Nick Arcade. Jerry Trainor is the only actor from the cast who lends his voice to the game, the rest of the characters’ speech being dubbed with typing sounds on a keyboard.
On May 13, 2009, Nickelodeon announced they had reached an agreement with Activision to produce an iCarly video game for the DS and Wii. The game is currently scheduled to be released in fall 2009.
