Natasha Bedingfield was born on November 26, 1981, in Lewisham, southeast London, England. The daughter of two New Zealand-born social workers, Natasha grew up alongside three siblings: Daniel, Nikola and Joshua. While she is close to all of them today, her and the eldest sibling, Daniel, were rivals growing up.
Natasha showed an interest in music from an early age. Daniel and younger sister Nikola shared Natasha's passion, and the three Bedingfields formed their own group, the DNA Algorithm, when they were teenagers. But for Natasha, music remained a hobby at first. Torn between pursuing art or psychology studies in college, Natasha settled on psychology.

After two years of balancing college work and music, Natasha withdrew from university in order to write songs full-time. Honing her skills on guitar and piano, Natasha wrote songs and recorded in friends' studios in the hopes of building up a body of work that she could take to a record company. In the meantime, her brother Daniel became a pop star, and Natasha, mindful of her own talents, was encouraged by his example and industry contacts.

Natasha Bedingfield is working on her next album and she has revealed a list of songwriters and collaborators she is currently working with.

"I'm still writing for the next album." Bedingfield explained. "It should be out sometime early next year hopefully."

"I've been writing with Kleerup, John Hill, Wyclef, Salaam Remy, Ryan Tedder, Sia, Eg White, Wayne Wilkins, Phonogenic, Mike Elizondo, John Shanks, Danielle Brisebois and some others."

Natasha Bedingfield is planning to spend a lot more time in Hollywood. The Brit singer has closed the deal on a $2.3 million contemporary in the Los Feliz section of L.A.  At 4,792 sq. ft. the min-manse has four bedrooms and five-and-a-half baths.  It has the required swimming pool of course

, and mountain and city views.

Natasha will be sharing the pad with her new husband Matt Robinson.

The two married in May.

Natasha isn't giving up London altogether.  She'll still part of the year there, and is now in a London studio working on her third album.

British singer Natasha Bedingfield has gotten married in Malibu. People Magazine reports the pop songstress wed California businessman Matthew Robinson in a 30-minute outdoor ceremony overlooking the Pacific Ocean on Saturday.  About 150 guests watched Bedingfield walk down the aisle in a Vera Wang dress beside the chateau at the Church Estates Vineyards. Bedingfield’s albums include “Unwritten,” “N.B.” and “Pocketful of Sunshine.”

Natasha took the US by storm last year with the first British chart topping hit by a female in almost twenty years. Vanity Fair singled her out as the spearhead of a new Britpop invasion; she became one of the faces of Gap (alongside Mia Farrow and Common); she was invited by her hero Prince to jam with him at a private party; Bono enlisted her for his (RED) campaign; and her song Unwritten proved to be the most played song on mainstream American radio in 2006.

She  blasted her way up the British charts in 2004 with her typically outspoken take on the lifestyles of independent young women. So her return to action this year may come as something of a surprise…

Natasha's debut was ready in the spring of 2004. Her first single, called "Single," climbed the UK charts, as did her second single, "These Words." Natasha wrote her third single, the inspirational "Unwritten," for her younger brother Joshua's 14th birthday. That September, Natasha released her debut album, Unwritten. The album entered the charts at No. 1, only the third debut album of a solo female to do so. By October of 2004, Unwritten had gone platinum.
After such an impressive debut, Natasha was in high demand and raking in critical accolades. She was nominated for Best UK & Ireland act at the 2004 MTV Europe Music Awards.

Bedingfield has stated on TRL that the U.S. version of her second album will be titled Pocketful of Sunshine. The album featured six songs from N.B. alongside seven new ones. The album was released on 22 January 2008, with the lead single, "Love like This" being released a few months earlier. The title track is set to be the second single and was played on the season finale of MTV's The Hills.

On 18 January 2008, Bedingfield's forthcoming UK tour was cancelled for the second time, one month before it was supposed to start. It has now been officially scrapped, so she can spend more time in the U.S. promoting her album. However, she will perform a number of free acoustic gigs in the spring to compensate for the cancellation. She recently signed on to become the opening act on the recently reunited New Kids On The Block Fall Tour of 2008 in the US. Bedingfield has been back in the UK recently to promote new single "Love Like This" which recently made the top 20 in the UK chart, with the album Pocketful of Sunshine to follow later this year.

In February 2008, Bedingfield was invited by EA Games to re-record the single Pocketful of Sunshine in Simlish, with a music video released as part of a viral advertising campaign for the release of The Sims 2: FreeTime.

Stateside, the single Pocketful Of Sunshine has reached the top five on the Billboard Hot 100. The third single is "Angel." The song was due to impact on US radio on 12 August, and now is out. Bedingfield performed "Just Stand Up" with 14 other female artists on the 5 September, becoming a top 10 hit in the United States. On 18 September 2008 she performed "Angel" live on America's Got Talent.
