Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart Cover New Moon People

Kristen Stewart and her leading man Robert Pattinson cover the New Moon special edition issue of People magazine, out on stands THIS Friday.
The duo, plus costars Taylor Lautner, Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz, gives fans a first look into the much-anticipated sequel to blockbuster Twilight. Check out what’s in the mag:
Director Chris Weitz on the mood of New Moon: “Twilight is about first love; New Moon is about heartbreak. That requires the actors to go to some very dark places. There is more Edward in the film. Viewers will see him more often than Bella sees him in the book.”
Taylor on representing Team Jacob: “I get nervous trying to represent Team Jacob in the right way. This guy [Robert] is some pretty good competition. The fans would love anybody who played Jacob. I’m just lucky to be the one who got the chance.”
Robert on playing god-like Edward Cullen: “When I read Twilight, and there are these moony descriptions of Edward as a godlike figure, I thought there was no way I could play him. But when I got in the room with Kristen, there was a certain chemistry. She’s basically the reason I did the movie.”
Ashley on the Twi-fans: “Kellan Lutz and I look at each other and go, ‘What is going on? This is so insane!’ It’s very different from anything that I’ve experienced. But the fans are so passionate. Seriously, this is the coolest job in the world with the best fans.”
Kellan on Breaking Dawn: “We’re all crossing our fingers, and we all want to finish the series. And we want Stephenie [Meyer] to write more books if she could!”
Fans will also get a sneak peek into the upcoming The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.
People’s New Moon special edition hits stand THIS Friday, October 16 and you can even get a $1 off the stand price! Just log onto People.com and print out your coupon!

**UPDATE**: THE POPSTAR AUGUST 2008 EDITION WILL HAVE EXCLUSIVE SNEEK PEEK PICTURES AND INTERVIEWS FROM ON-SET TWILIGHT. THIS POPSTAR WILL BE AVAILABLE IN STORES ON JULY 1ST** I don't know about you but I'm buying popstar.
The OFFICIAL twilight movie poster:

Wow....I actually like what they did with the movie poster, except Edward's eyes. It really turns you off. But the whole craddling Bella thing really looks endearing with Edward. It also makes her look very breakable and fragile.
I bet everyone already knows who's playing who, but I wanted to give a little info about the important charcters and their career history.
Here are the Stars of the show!!
Kristen Swert will be our girl Bella in the movie. I think it's a rather good choice if you think about who Bella really is. Stewart is a very plain looking person but pulls off her beauty in a very non-moviestar way. The only thing I think is wrong is that she is a very intense person and Bella is supposed to be...well....not that. Anyways it will be fun to see how it plays out.
Kristen Stewart is to play Bella in the movie she also starred in other shows and movies like: (in order) The Safety of Objects, Panic Room, Cold Creek Manor, Speak, Undertow, Fierce People, Zathura, The Messangers, In the Land of Women, The Cake Eaters, Into the Wild, Cutlass, Jumper, What Just Happened? (awaiting release) , Yellow Handkerchief (awaiting release), Adeventureland (post-production), Twilight (post-production),and Welcome to the Rileys (pre-production).

Robert Pattinson will be playing our Edward in the movie. Of course manythink that they should have picked someone else and that he's very ugly, but once you warm up to the idea he's not to bad. And ya know what I do not appreciate? Is when people say "they should should have picked so-and-so". I mean that person probably didn't even audition for the part. So lets give a round of appluase for Edward!
Pattinson has played three roles so far two of which were Vanity Fair and Ring of the Nibelungs, but he is probably most well known for hisapperance in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire as Cedric Digory. It will be interesting for him to be in the movie because being in HP4 Pattinson is right smack dab in the middle of this battle between wizards and vampires.
Some Post-Movie Thoughts :
Bloodsucking vampires used to be the stuff of nightmares. Now they are the stuff of young girls' dreams.
Forget the Backstreet Boys and N'Sync'ers of yesteryear. Tween girls these days swoon for vampires, and, more specifically, Edward Cullen of Twilight fame. But don't be fooled. There is more to Edward Cullen then his "topaz eyes" and his "tousled golden hair."
Girls of all ages didn't mob the Orland Park mall a few weeks ago for just another pretty face -- the appeal of Edward (and his on-screen embodiment, Robert Pattinson) is much more complex.
Edward is so compelling to young girls because he is the perfect combination of danger and safety. As an undead creature with the looks of a model and the strength of a superhero, he presents the excitement of a heartthrob along with the danger of the unknown. His power and his beauty make the heart of the protagonist, Bella Swan, race wildly -- but, ironically, this same power also makes sex impossible.
In Stephenie Meyer's book, Edward cannot have sex with Bella because he fears that he will lose control and accidentally kill her with his unbridled passion. It might sound a little cheesy, but to young girls who feel the pressure to be sexual before they are truly ready, Edward's insistence on abstinence is very comforting. The most Bella and Edward can do is kiss, and even then, a truly passionate kiss can be reason enough for Edward to push Bella away. His concern for Bella's safety and his unrelenting control over his sexual desires make Edward the perfect boyfriend for girls who are intimidated and overwhelmed by all things below-the-belt. However, Edward doesn't just appeal to timid tweeners. From 14 to 40, women of all ages have been "bit" by his fangs. And no wonder! Studies have shown that sexual submission is one of the most common fantasies that women have -- and who can be more dominating than a brawny vampire with a rock-hard bod?
Submission is so appealing to women because it is one of the only ways they can get out of their heads and enjoy sex unabashedly. As born multi-taskers, it can be very hard for women to let go in the bedroom and stop ticking off a mental to-do list.
Enjoying sexual pleasure when there is laundry to be done and kids to feed can be an exercise in futility. However, if they don't have a choice, if the pleasure is insisted upon by their mate (or a sexy vampire, natch), then letting go becomes a matter of course. And, the underlying message of submission (the knowledge that your partner has to have you right now) also is very seductive.
Only a woman could have created such a sexually powerful (and at the same time, sexually abstinent) character. The delicate dance between sexual attraction and gratification in this series illustrates what women always have sought --excitement and security, all rolled into one.
Oh, yeah, and those topaz eyes and that tousled hair don't hurt!
Robert Pattinson’s New Haircut
<!-- .entry-meta -->
<!-- .entry-head -->
What is the most famous celebrity haircut? Britney Spears’ American History X mental breakdown? Keri Russells career ending cut? Nope it is probably Robert Pattinson cutting off his dreamy hair. Fans are flipping out over the Twilight stars new Marine-style crew cut. The number one question is how he is going to pull off playing Edward in New Moon which starts filming in about three-months. Maybe Edward is going to get a haircut also, or as Yahoo.com suggested perhaps he will wear a wig. Pattinson in a weave anyone?
But why did Pattinson do it? My guess is he is losing his mind because of the over-obsessive Twilight fans. The young actor has expressed his displeasure with fans asking him to bite their necks, mobbing him and has even said he is worried about his own safety. In an interview earlier this year Pattinson talked about his paranoia, “I just don’t want to get shot or stabbed. I don’t want someone to have a needle and I’ll get AIDS afterwards. That’s only my real fears.”
My 2009 prediction is he will suffer a complete mental breakdown halfway through filming on New Moon, and we will be covering it every step of the way.
